 Arizona Gear Up
Preparing students to succeed beyond high school.
Gear Up is a federally supported grant designed to significantly increase the number of economically disadvantaged students who are prepared to succeed beyond high school. The program is a partnership between Northern Arizona University and Miami Unified School District and will continue for six years. It will start with our 7th grade class and follow them all the way through graduation.
This class will experience early intervention techniques, tutoring, mentoring, parent involvement, personal and academic counseling, financial aid workshops and many other unique activities through the six years of participation.
